Mary Bernice Gallagher

Obituary from the Newark [OH] Advocate:

A Funeral Mass for Mary Bernice Gallagher Pekari, of Pittsburg, Calif., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Church of the Good Shepherd, in Pittsburg. A burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, in Antioch, Calif.
Mary died early Friday morning after a long illness.
She was a longtime resident of Pittsburg, where she worked and supported St. Peter Martyr and Good Shepherd Church and school. She will be missed dearly by her family and all who knew her.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to 27. She is survived by sons, Bruce (and wife Sonia), Greg (and wife Mollie), David, Kent, Tom (and wife Marie), Brian (and wife Laura); daughter, Shelia; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia, Frances, Paula; and brother, Pete.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius.
A Rosary will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Contributions may be made to the School of St. Peter Martyr, 425 W. Fourth St., Pittsburg, CA 94565, or De La Salle, 1130 Winton Drive, Concord, CA 94520, or Carondelet, 1133 Winton Drive, Concord, CA 94520.

Theresa Gallagher

Theresa Gallagher Mahood’s obituary appeared in the Newark [OH] Advocate on 27 Mar 1976:
Services for Theresa C. Mahood, 48, of North Brook, Ill., formerly of Newark, will be 10 a.m. in St. Leonard’s Catholic Church, Heath, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mrs. Mahood died Friday in a private plane crash in Chicago. She was born Dec. 4, 1927, in Cambridge, to Mary (Butler) Gallagher and the late Forest Gallagher.
Surviving are her widower, Edwin Mahood; two stepsons, Dennis of Miami, Fla., and Jack of Atlanta,, her mother, five sisters, Mrs. Bernie Pekary of Pittsburgh, Calif., Mrs. Virginia Feher of Fr. Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Rita Hackbarth of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Frances Zeltner of Columbus, and Mrs. Paula Ebersbach of Newark; a brother, Peter C. Gallagher of Columbus, and two step-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Egan Funeral Home.
