Mollie E. Flading

In 1910, widow Mollie E. Breiding owned a home at 2105 Eoff St. in Wheeling, WV. Living with her were her children Helen (22), Clarence K. (20), Elroy J. (18), Alfred W. (18), George J. (15), Robert H. (14), Herbert C. (9), Steven A. (4), and John W. (9 mos). Also living in the house were Chas P. Klieves (24) and his wife Anna B. (23).


Martin L. Bauer

The oldest surviving child of Valentine Singer is called Martin by researcher Thomas Singer, but he is called Joseph Martin in the 1910 census. Subsequent census records refer to him as Martin. Dr. Singer includes a child called Joseph in the family who died at age 3.

In 1930, 24 year old Martin lived with his parents and brothers in the family's home at 1811 Wood St. in Wheeling. Martin worked as a news boy for the central news.

Dates of birth and death (from Social Security Death Index) have not been proven.


Carl Bauer

In 1930, 22 year old Carl lived with his parents and brothers in the family's home at 1811 Wood St. in Wheeling. Carl worked as an automobile mechanic.


Carl E. Bauer

Became a priest.


John Bauer

In 1930, 19 year old John Singer lived with his parents and brothers in the family's home at 1811 Wood St. in Wheeling. John worked as an helper on a truck at a department store.


William Bauer

In 1930, 17 year old William Singer lived with his parents and brothers in the family's home at 1811 Wood St. in Wheeling. William worked as an automobile mechanic.


Louis James Graham

In 1930, Louis (23) and Agnes (21) Graham rented an apartment for $15 a month at 163 12th St. in Wheeling, WV. The couple had been married for about five years according to the census. Louis and his father were from Mississippi; Agnes, her parents, and Louis' mother were natives of West Virginia. Louis worked as a service man in a garage. There were no children in the household.


Helen M. Dimmerling

Obituary from the Wheeling News Register, 29 Dec 1985:

KESSLER, Helen M. Dimerling, 83, of 610 Marshall St., McMechen, died at the Home of the Good Shepherd, Wheeling. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, McMechen, and was a retired Benwood post-mistress. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Kessler, in 1930. Surviving are one son, George H. of Glendale; one brother, Harold Dimerling of Freedom, Pa.; one sister, Emma K. Dimerling, with whom she resided and four grandchildren. Friends received at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall St., McMechen, 2-4 and 7-9 today and Monday. Arrangements are incomplete.
