Edna Lucille Archer

From the Zanesville Signal, 24 Sep 1937:
Miss Edna Archer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Archer, who is home on a months vacation from Columbus, is spending a few days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bankes of Crooksville.


Ralph Junior Archer

From the Zanesville Signal, 18 Dec 1942:
Pvt. Ralph Archer, of Cincinnati, has arrived home for a five-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Archer, east of McConnelsville, and with his wife. He will be accompanied on his return by his wife, who as resigned her work at White’s 5 & 10, and who will remain at Cincinnati with him, while he is stationed there.


Donald R. Archer

Donald Archer’s obituary appeared in the Zanesville Times Recorder on 29 Jul 1973:
Donald R. Archer, 50, of McConnelsville, an employe of the Malta Manufacturing Company, died of an apparent heart attach at 11:45 p.m. Friday at American Legion Post 24 here, of which he is a member.
He was born July 3, 1923 in Bowling Green, a son of Harvy and Grace Luke Archer.
He was president of the Molders and Alliad Workers Union Local 27 AFL-CIO and a member of Eagles Lodge and the Forty and Eight Club. He was a World War II veteran.
Surviving are his widow, Zaida Shaw Trent Archer; two daughter, Mrs. Donna Winter of Savannah, Ga., and Miss Suxie Archer of McConnelsville; a step-son, William R. Trent of Cleveland; a grandchild and three step-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Chichester of Vienna, W.Va., and Mrs. Judson (Edna) Young of Athens, and a brother, Ralph of McConnelsville Route 3.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Miller funeral home in McConnelsville where Eagles Lodge services will be held at 8 p.m. today. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Fred Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in the Malta Cemetery. Graveside military services will be conducted.
