Walter Joseph Rose

Obituary:

ROSE, Walter Joseph, 84, of Valley Grove, W.Va, died Monday, July 4, 2005, at his home.
He was born September 3, 1920 in Wheeling, W.Va., son of the late George and Frances Singer Rose.
Walter was a US Army Veteran, having served in WWII. He was retired from Wheeling Truck Center where he was a general mechanic; and was a member of the St.Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elm Grove.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four brothers, Charles, Lawrence, George and Paul.
Surviving are his wife, Joanne Horne Rose; two nephews, Ronald Rose and his wife, Shirley, and Donald Rose; a step-nephew, Harry Minch; and a great-niece, Mary Huff, all of Wheeling.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2005, with Father William E. Seli, SM officiating. Interment in Park View Memorial Gardens, Wheeling.
