The following wedding announcement appeared in The Marietta Times newspaper on February 11, 2009:
Schaad-Warner
Amanda Brianne Schaad and Jason Lee Warner were united in marriage on Sept. 20, 2008, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Churchtown. The open church ceremony was performed by the Rev. Virgil Reischman.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Janet Schaad of Lowell. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Schaad and the late Lawrence Schaad of Lowell, and the late Ralph and Pauline Zoller of Marietta.
The bridegroom is the son of Gary and Bonnie Warner of Long Bottom. He is the grandson of Ivan and Evelyn Wood, and Evelyn Warner and the late John Warner of Long Bottom.
The bride wore a diamond white strapless satin gown that featured a corset lace bodice accented with a diamond brooch and an empire band of satin, and a slim-lined caught-up skirt sprinkled with clusters of pearls and crystals. Her elbow length veil was adorned with pearls and silver embroidery and was attached to a diamond and pearl tiara. The bride carried a bouquet of deep red gerbera daisies, rose, hypericum berries and solidago. The bride's jewelry was her mother-in-law's pearl necklace and bracelet.
Matrons of honor were Kelly Miller and Lori Hart, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kerri Schaad, sister-in-law of the bride; Andrea Warner, sister of the bridegroom; and Jeanne Schaad, cousin of the bride. They wore berry chiffon tea length gowns and carried bouquets similar to the bride's with golden yellow gerbera daisies.
Karli Schaad, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.
Best man was Josh Clark. Groomsmen were Rodney Wood, uncle of the bridegroom; Ed Schaad, brother of the bride; Wes Crow; and Jordan Wood, cousin of the bridegroom.
Cameron Miller and Dylan Hart, nephews of the bride, were ringbearers.
Guests were registered by Lindsey Wolf, cousin of the bridegroom.
Readings were given by Kelly Miller, sister of the bride.
Music was provided by Evan and Heather Schaad, cousins of the bride. A special performance was given by Tina Carter.
Mass servers were Cortland and Ian Zoller, cousins of the bride. Owen Schaad and Garret Miller, nephews of the bride, handed out bubbles to the guests after the ceremony.
A reception with dinner and dancing followed at the Knights of Columbus in Churchtown.
The bride graduated from Fort Frye High School in 2004 and from Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in microbiology in 2008. She is currently attending Marietta College to obtain her teaching certificate. The bride is employed by Diagnostic Hybrids Inc. in Athens as a lab technician.
The bridegroom graduated from Eastern High School in 2001. He is employed by Hino Motor Manufacturing in Williamstown.
After a honeymoon cruise to Nassau, Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Marten, the couple are currently residing in Long Bottom.
