Charles G. Binegar

Charles G. Binegar, 78, of Marietta, died at 4 a.m. Saturday (March 3, 2007) at his home. He was born July 7, 1928, at Dart, Ohio, a son of the late Charles and Anna Miller Binegar. He was retired from Elkem Metals in 1983. Charles was known for witching and drilling water wells in this area. He was a member of Little Muskingum and Reno fire departments for approximately 25 years. He was a member of Marietta Moose Lodge 1823 and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed camping with family and friends and especially enjoyed bluegrass and country music. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Charles is the last surviving member of his family. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Noll Brooker Binegar; a daughter from a previous marriage, Linda Binegar Strickler Smith; nine stepchildren, Ronald W. Brooker (Kim) of Williamstown, Mark J. Brooker (Lori) of Churchtown, James Brooker (Mary) of Palmer Square, Christopher Brooker (Gina) of Social Circle, Ga., Damian L. Brooker (Angie) of Marietta, Marian Mullins (Greg) of Oak Grove, Charlene Kern (Alan) of Lang Farm Road, Theresa Proctor (Dan) of Barlow, and Rose Marie Welch (Stephen) of Barlow; two grandchildren, Kelly Strickler of Belpre and Jeffrey Strickler (Jessica) of Waterford; five great-grandchildren, Nathan, Kelsey, Morgan, Shelby, and Evan; several nieces and nephews; 27 stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Harold, Gale, Russell and an infant, Ronald; two sisters, Gladys Haught and Erma Stalnaker; his first wife, Stella Irene Hayes Binegar; and several nephews. Funeral liturgy, with Mass, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fred Kihm and the Rev. David Huffman as celebrants. Burial will be in the church cemetery. BROOKER-NOLL VOWS REVEALED
Miss Thelma Freda Noll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence J. Noll of Dexter City, Route 1, became the bride of William Albert Brooker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. Brooker of Waterford, Route 1, in a recent ceremony read in St. Henry's Catholic church in Harrietsville.
The Rev. Fr. Julian Wenda officiated at the double ring ceremony. the altar was arranged with pink gladioli for the occasion. Music was presented by Mrs. Paul Huffman, organist, and the church choir.
The bride wore a floor-length gown of lace and net over satin. The tight-fitting bodice featured long tapering sleeves, and a Queen Anne collar. She wore a crown of seed pearls to hold her veil of French illusion, and carried a cascade of red roses.
Miss Hazel Noll was her sisters maid of honor, wearing a gown of pink.
Andrew Brooker, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Carl Schilling and Jack Lang.
The bride is a graduate of Elk local high school and is employed at Marietta Memorial hospital. Mr. Brooker is a graduate of Lowell high school and is employed by the Marietta Concrete corporation. The newly weds are living on Route 1, Waterford.

The following birth announcement appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on September 12, 1939: Mr. and Mrs. Claude Fox, of Fulda, O., announce the birth of a son in good Samaritan hospital, Monday.

In 1970, Claude Myron and Ruth Fox lived at Waterford, Rt. 1, Ohio. He was employed by Ohio Power in Waterford, Ohio.

Leo George Schilling

In 1920, Leo Schilling (31) and his wife Stella (30) rented a farm in Watertown, Washington County, Ohio. Living with them was their infant daughter, Mary L. (1 yr., 3 mos.). Adjacent farms in the census belonged to Stevan Peters and 59 year old Joseph Schilling. The relationship between Joseph Schilling and Leo Schilling is not known at this time.


Stella Mary Bauerbach

In 1930, 40 year old widow Stella B. Schilling owned a farm in Waterford, Washington Co., OH. The other members of the family were Stella's children M. Lillian (11), Anna M. (9), Louis W. (5), and Leonard C. (5). The two oldest children attended school. Also living with the family were Stella's sister Ida B. (19) and her new husband, Ralph Tornes (21).

BEVERLY -- Mrs. Stella Schilling, 78, of near Beverly,
died at 5 p.m. Monday (June 3) at Marietta Memorial
Hospital following a long illness.
She was born July 12, 1889, at Lowell, a daughter of
the late Nicholas and Philomena Lang Bauerbach. She
was married to Leo Schilling Nov. 9, 1916 who died Sept.
29, 1929, Mrs. Schilling was a member of St. Bernard
Catholic Church and the Catholic Womens Club.
She is survived by two sons Louis Schilling of Beverly
route 1 and Leonard Schilling of the home; two daughters,
Mrs. Cecil Deist of Beverly route 1 and Mrs. Dyer Brogmun
of St. Paul, Minn.; 12 grand children; a brother, Paul Bauer-
bach of Waterford Route 2; nine sisters, Sister Helen Clare
of Wheeling, W. Va., Sister Mary Sophia of Nazareth, Ky.,
Mrs. Ralph Tornes of Waterford route 2, Mrs. Albert Arnold
of Waterford route 1, Mrs. Clem Brooker, Mrs. William Tulles,
Mrs. Clarence Huck, Mrs. Herbert Huck, all of near Lowell,
and Mrs. Raymond Huck of Lowell. Four brothers and a
grandson are deceased.
Friends may call at McCurdy Funeral Home at Beverly
where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p. m. today.
Services will be held at 10 a. m. Thursday at St. Bernard
Catholic Church at Beverly with Rev. Fr. William Campbell
officiating. burial will be in Lady of Mercy Cemetery at Lowell.
