Helen Schott was a contestant in the "Miss Noble County" beauty parade held in the Roxy Theater in Caldwell on 22 Jul 1938. According to the Zanesville Times Recorder (pg 7, 23 Jul 1938) between eight and nine hundred people crowded the theater to watch the pageant, which was won by Thelma Smithberger.

DEATH NOTICE / CLASSIFIED John "Jack" M. Fisher Sr. 75, of Akron, passed
away April 27, 2001, at Hospice Care Center. Jack
was in sales with American Cyanamid Co. for 30
years, and retired in 1989. He was president of the
Cleveland Cosmetic Association, and he was also
president of WABL. Jack was a member of St. Seb-
astian Church. He will be missed by his golf buddies
"The Fisher Group." Jack was a devoted and loving
husband and father who enjoyed watching ...

Thomas William Fye

Obituary

Thomas W. Fye, age 73, of Clinton, OH, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at his
home. He was born in Akron, OH, had been a life resident of Clinton, and had
retired in 1990 from the Continental Bakery Co. after 37 years service. He
was an Army veteran of World War II. A member of VFW #9795, Canal Fulton,
the American Legion #718, Marshallville and St. George Catholic Church
Clinton. Preceded in death by sons, Joseph C. and David A. Fye, sisters,
Beatrice Jane and Sister M. Charles, sister-in-law, Mary Alice Fye,
brother-in-law, Jack Fisher. Survived by wife of 49 years, Vera (Schott)
Fye; daughter, Theresa (Christian) Cline of Barberton; sons, Martin (Laura)
Fye, Bernard Fye, Thomas E. (Renee) Fye, all of Canal Fulton, Lawrence
(Kathy) Fye of Beaufort, SC; daughter-in-law, Cindy (Steve) Combs of Canal
Fulton; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen
Hagarman of Columbus, Margaret (George) Mokris of Warren; brothers, Richard
E. Fye of Canton, Msgr. Lawrence Fye of Youngstown; numerous nieces and
nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10:30 a.m. in St. George Catholic
Church, Clinton. concelebrated by Msgr. Lawrence Fye, Msgr. Robert Bacher
and Fr. David Huffman. Burial in Clinton Cemetery with military honors by
VFW #9795. Visitation at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home (Rt. 93, Canal
Fulton) MONDAY 5-8 p.m.
