CALDWELL -- One local man was listed in "fair" condition today at a Columbus hospital and another sustained minor injuries following a two-vehicle accident in Enoch Township Wednesday night in which a pickup truck rear-ended a farm tractor.
According to Noble County Sheriff Landon T. Smith, Larry Schott, 54, of Caldwell was driving a Chevy S-10 truck on State Route 564, just south of County Road 15, when he reportedly rear-ended a John Deere farm tractor driven by Don Nau, 52, also of Caldwell.
A call reporting the accident was received by 911 at 7:18 p.m. United Ambulance and the Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department were called to the scene.
Nau was reportedly thrown from the tractor, sustaining severe injuries. He was taken by United Ambulance to Southeastern Med in Cambridge and was later transported to The Ohio State University Medical Center, where he was listed in "fair" condition this morning.
Schott was transported by United Ambulance to Marietta Memorial Hospital, where a hospital spokesperson said he was treated and released.
Pine Tree Towing handled the removal of the truck and tractor, citing heavy damage to both vehicles.
The accident remained under investigation by the Noble County Sheriff's Office.
