Joseph Peter Rupple

In 1900, 20 year old Joseph Ruppel lived and worked on his parents farm in Enoch Twp., Noble County, Ohio.

At the time of the 1910 census, Joseph Rupple (30) and his pregnant wife Mary (28) rented a home at 106 Belfort in Nimishillin Twp., Stark County, Ohio. They lived there with their only child, Alice F. (11 mos.). Joseph was employed as a school teacher.

In 1920, Joseph Rupple (40) was back farming in Enoch Twp., Noble County with his pregnant wife Mary (33) and children Alice (10), Lillian (9), Carl (7), Ester (5), and Clarence (4). Alice, Lillian and Carl attended school. Neighboring farms in the census belonged to John Roehrig and Louis Cornett.

In 1930, farmer Joseph Rupple (50) lived in Enoch Twp., Noble County, Ohio with his pregnant wife Mary (43) and children Alice (20), Lillian (19), Carl (18), Esther (16), Clarence (13), Herman (9), Francis (7), and James (5). Carl, Esther, Clarence, Herman and Francis attended school. Adjacent farms in the census belonged to (Robert) Lawrence Crum and Ferdinand Gerst.

The following appeared in The Zanesville (OH) Signal newspaper on April 18, 1935: Joe Rupple farm, near Fulda, was purchased by Alec Dimmerling,
Little Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Rupple and family are now making their home
in Canton.

Obituary:
MRS. JOSEPH RUPPLE
At the age of 80 death came to Mrs. Rupple on Tuesday, Aug. 30, in St.
Joseph’s Hospice where she had resided for five years.
Two daughters and six sons survive her. They are Mrs. Vincent Eckroate
of Massillon and Mrs. Harry Risher of Canton, and Carl, Francis and William
of Southgate, Calif., Clarence and James of Canton, and Herman of Louisville.
Also, 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Saturday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in
Canton and burial was in Calvary cemetery. Paquelet Funeral Home was in
charge of the arrangements.


Richard Felix Schott

The following birth announcement appeared in The Zanesville (OH) Signal newspaper on July 7, 1935 Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schott of near Fulda announce the birth of a son Thursday July 4.


Richard Schott served in the Army. Later, he was an electrician who worked in the construction industry.

Kenneth R. Schott

Kenneth Schott was a member of the Caldwell high school class of 1958.

Kenneth R. “Rabbit” Schott age 72, of Caldwell passed away Saturday Morning, April 28, 2012 at the Summit Acres Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell, where he had been a resident for several years. He was born March 17th, 1940 in Noble County, OH a son of the late Elmer and Clara Hupp Schott. Kenneth was a member of St. Mary’s of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda, OH. He drove concrete truck for Caldwell Redi Mix for many years. He loved hunting, especially for turtles and always enjoyed playing cards. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 Sons Kenneth R. Schott Jr. and James Gerald Schott; Granddaughter Elexis “Lexi” Emily Bender; 1 Brother Richard Schott. He will be missed by his family 2 Daughters Joan (Steve) Bettinger of Caldwell, OH and Barb (Jerry) Rayner of Cumberland, OH; 1 Son Mark E. Schott of Ava, OH; 4 Grandchildren Kimberly Bettinger, David Bettinger, Jessica Crum and Alisa Rayner; 6 Great-Grandchildren Timmothy Lamp, Hayden Bettinger, Anna Crum, Cody Crum, Caleb Crum and Gerald Ray; 1 Sister Kathleen (Frank) Thomas of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Monday, April 30th, 2012 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Father Wayne Morris and Pastor Jim Garrett Co-Officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Fulda. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation, 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive, Suite 260, Columbus, OH 43231-8617.


Kenneth R. Schott Jr.

Obituary:
CALDWELL - Graveside services for Kenneth Schott, Jr. were conducted
Saturday at St. Mary’s Cemetery at Fulda with Estadt Funeral Home of Caldwell
in charge.
The infant was dead at birth Friday in Thompson Hospital here to Kenneth
and Theresa Offenberger Schott of Olive street.
Also surviving are the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Offenberger of Water-
ford Route 1 and Elmer Schott of Caldwell Route 1.


James Gerald Schott

James Gerald Schott's obituary appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on March 1, 1974. CALDWELL BOY AGE 3, DIES OF WOUND CALDWELL -- James Gerald Schott, 3-year-old son of Kenneth and Therese Offenberger Schott of Caldwell Route 4 (Davis Ridge area), was accidentally shot about 5 p.m. Wednesday while playing in the living room of his home. He was taken to Guernsey Memorial Hospital at Cambridge at (sic) Caldwell Emergency Squad. He died at 11:57 p.m. Noble County Sheriff Landon smith reported the boy's brother, Mark, 11, took a 16-guage shotgun from a closet and pumped a shell into the chamber. The gun discharged, striking the boy in the right side. Dr. Sherman Smith, Noble County coroner, ruled the death accidental. He was born June 3, 1970, in Marietta and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Fulda. Survivors include the parents; the brother, Mark; two sisters, Joan and Barbara, all of the home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Offenberger of Waterford and Elmer Schott of Caldwell Route 4. A brother is deceased. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Saturday in St. Mary's Church with Rev. Fr. Walter Heinz officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at Estadt Funeral Home here 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
