Obituary:
Amedus W. Schrader, age 93, of Canton, died Wednesday evening in Regina Health Center, Richfield, OH, after an extended illness. Born in Louisville, to the late, Edward H. and Mary L. (Violand) Schrader. He was a machinist who worked for Republic Steel, and then co-owned the Wagener-Schrader Steam Pump Co., which merged with Canton Stoker Corp., from which he retired. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Louisville K of C Council #2530, the Canton Moose, and the N.R.A. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret L. (Karcher) Schrader who died in 1963; brothers, Thomas, Raymond, and Joseph; sister, Theodosia Soehnlen. He is survived by a son, Richard J. of Brighton, MA; daughters, Sr. Mary Schrader C.S.J. of Cleveland, OH, and Kathryn M. Oliver of Canton; brothers, Bernard A. of Richmond, CA, and Robert M. of Louisville; sisters, Beatrice I. Seiser and Joan R. Crock both of Louisville; grandchildren, Matthew, Louis (Lezlie), Patricia, and Rebecca Oliver. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Msgr. Frank A. Carfagna as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 3-5 p.m. in the Wackerly Funeral Home.
