Delores E. Kress

Obituary:
MRS. DELORES E. KRESS EMPLIT SCHNASE, age 57, formerly of Parkside Drive, Aliance, passed away Nov. 18 [1981] at the Miller Nursing Home Louisville after a 12 year illness.
The daughter of the late John G. and Erma Haidet Kress, she was born Feb. 12 1924 in Louisville. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Alfred Emplit and William Schnase.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Jean) Husat of Alliance; a son, Ronald Emplit of Alliance, 5 grandsons; 3 sisters, Mrs. Orilla Brahler and Mrs. Marty Cater (sic), both of Louisville, Mrs. Rita Whitman of North Benton; 5 brothers; Richard Kress, Norbert Kress, and Delmar Kress, all of Alliance, Francis Kress of Louisville and Merton Kress of Limaville.
A Mass of the Christian burial was held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance and burial in the Alliance City Cemetery. On Sat., Nov. 21. Friends called at the Myers-Israel Funeral Home 1 hour prior to the service.

Norma Jean Wilder

Obituary:
Norma Jean Kress, age 69, formerly of Louisville, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Monday December 2, 2002, in St. Joseph Care Center following an extended illness. Norma was born February 7, 1933 in Louisville to the late William W. and Aurelia (Monter) Wilder. She was a graduate of Louisville High School Class of 1951 and a graduate of Canton Actual Business College. Norma was a professional secretary at the E. W. Bliss Compnay in Canton. While employed there, she was hohored as Miss Bliss of 1953. Norma did modeling and received numerous cooking awards. In addition, she was the sevretary-treasurer of Kress Interiors for thirteen years. Norma was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Louisville.
Norma leaves behind her husband, Francis J. Kress of Cuyahoga Falls, three sons and daughters-in-laws, James and Sheila Kress of Alexandria, VA, John and Nancy Kress of Canton, and Francis J. Kress II and Heather Kress of Peninsula; a sister and brother-in-law, Joanna (Wilder) and Al Monnot of Louisville, a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Carole Wilder of Louisville, and a grandson, Philip Kress of Canton. She is preceded in death by a brother, William Wilder.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, December 5 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville with Rev. Fr. Tom Bishop officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Friends called Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville.


Irene A. Brown

Obituary:
Irene A. Kress, 63, of 657 W. Harrison, Alliance, passed away Sunday, May 20 [1990] in the Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness. She was born July 7, 1926 in Maximo of Arthur V. and Stella (Novak) Brown. She lived in the vicinity for her lifetime. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Ladies D.A.V. Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Richard A.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Custar of Leetonia; two sons, Richard J. and George A., both of Alliance; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Jane Johnson of Colorado, twin sister Mrs. Eileen Haidet of Canton, Mrs. Geraldine Wilder of Louisville; two brothers, Richard Brown of Homeworth and Virgil Brown of Maximo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance Friday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Frank Carfagna officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Calling hours are tonight 7-9 at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alliance Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
