Margaret Ellen Norris

Wedding announcement from the Zanesville Times Recorder, 20 Jun 1976, accompanied by a photograph of the bride:
MISS NORRIS MARRIES IN ST. THOMAS CHURCH
Miss Margaret Ellen Norris and Gregory Edward Ritterbeck were
united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Thomas Catholic
Church in a double ring ceremony with Rev. Joseph Scordo officiating.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Earl Norris of 706 Luck avenue,
and parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. James E. Ritterbeck of
Route 6.
The bride wore a jersey knit dress with empire sleeves, pleated
full skirt and chapel length train. The bodice was covered in Venice
lace. The fingertip length veil was edged in a matching Venice lace
pattern and was held in place by a Juliet cap. She carried a bouquet
of yellow roses and white daisies.
Miss Mary Lou Norris of Shalimar, Fla., sister of the bride, served
as maid of honor. She wore a blue knot halter dress with a matching
cape and a blue picture hat with white streamers. She carried a bou-
quet of pastel roses.
The bridesmaids were Marilyn Dimmerling of Caldwell, who wore a
green dress fashioned like the maid of honor’s and carried a single
green rose. Miss Debbie Ritterbeck, sister of the groom, who wore an
identical pink dress and carried a pink rose; and Miss Saundra Mattingly,
who was attired in yellow and carried a yellow rose.
Junior bridesmaids, Miss Kimberly Long and Miss Shannon Long,
wore lavender and apricot dresses, respectively, and carried matching
roses.
Kathy Anderson of Orangeburg, S.C. served as flower girl and Joseph
Norris was the ring bearer. They are the niece and nephew of the bride.
Best man was Robert Johnson of Cambridge, and ushers were Bob
Brehm, Gary Ritterbeck and Terry Schoot (sic: Schott) of Guernsey,
cousins of the bridegroom.
A reception was held in the K of C hall from 4 until 7p.m. Assistants
were Mrs. James Smith, Miss Donna Greiner, Miss Linda Winn, Mrs. John
Wallace, Miss Kathy Moffett of Cambridge and Miss Michelle Anderson
of Orangeburg, S.C.
Mrs. Ritterbeck graduated from Bishop Rosecrans High School and
is a secretary at National Cash Register in Cambridge. She is a member
of St. Thomas Church. Mr. Ritterbeck is a graduate of Philo High School
and is employed by Sidwell Brothers. He is a member of St. Nicholas
Catholic Church.
After a brief wedding trip, the couple will reside on Edward Lane.

Bridesmaid Marilyn Dimmerling was the bride's first cousin. She was also related more distantly to the groom.
