Clara Ann Biedenbach

Obituary:
Clara A. Schumacher, 51, of Malaga, died
November 21, at her home. She was born Sept. 4,
1934, in Monroe County, the daughter of Stella Miller
Biedenbach of Malaga and the late Edmund Biedenbach.
She was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church,
Woodsfield, and an employee of the Burns Apparel Com-
pany, Barnesville.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce
Ann in 1955. Surviving are her husband, Roman A. Schu-
macher; three daughters, Susan Thomas of Cottondale, AL;
Yvonne Knowlton of Woodsfield, Rosemarie of the home;
three sons, Richard Allan Schumacher of Beallsville, Anthony
Charles Schumacher and Terrence Michael Schumacher both
of Malaga; four sisters, Viola Burkhart of Canton, Mary Schoeller
of Huron, Evelyn Wasilewski of Providence, RI, Mildred Nau of
Caldwell; five brothers, Arthur Biedenbach of Canton, Donald
Biedenbach of Woodsfield, Bernard Biedenbach, Roger Bieden-
bach, and Dennis Biedenbach all of Lewisville; and eight grand-
children.
Friends were received at the Bauer-Turner Funeral
Home, Woodsfield. Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday
at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, with Father Vincent
Huber, the celebrant. Burial was in St. Sylvester Church Cemetery.
Rosary devotions were held Sunday evening. Family requests
donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Monroe
County Unit.


Donald E. Biedenbach

Donald E. Biedenbach graduated from Lewisville High School in 1953.


Frederick E. Burkhart

According to the death certificate of son Kenneth, the family lived "one mile south of Stafford" in 1948/.

The following obituary, provided by Betty Hartley is dated 13 Mar 1985. However according to Fritz's age at death (78) and the year of birth (1913), his year of death should be 1991 or 1992.
Frederick E. (Fritz) Burkhart, Sr., age 78, of 2418
16th St., NE Canton, passed away Saturday afternoon in
Aultman Hospital following a short illness. He was born July
8, 1913, in Monroe County, OH, a son of Edward and Joannah
(Schehl) Burkhart. He had lived 40 years in the Canton area.
He was employed for 22 years for the Ford Motor
Company of Canton, retiring in 1972. A member of St. Paul's
Catholic Church of Canton and St. Joseph's Catholic Church
of Burkhart, Ohio. A life member of DAV St. Mihiel Chapter #6
and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #233 both of Canton,
VFW and a Army WW II Veteran.
Survived by his wife, the former Viola M. Biedenbach,
to whom he married February 12, 1945; three daughters and
sons-in-law, Darlene and James Cantley of East Canton, Donna
and David Dougherty of Canton and Janet and Steven Wermuth
of Louisville; seven sons and daughters-in-law, Frederick E. (Fritz),
Jr. and Nancy, Larry D. and Theresa, Ronald L. and Diane, John
W. and Teresa, James R. and Cindy, Carl A. and LaRee all of
Canton, Leonard F. and Diane of Louisville; one sister, Mrs.
Lillian Sivinski of Port Clinton, Ohio; 22 grandchildren. Pre-
ceded in death by a son, Kenneth M., a grandson, Nicholas
P. Dougherty and a brother, John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tues-
day in St. Paul's Catholic Church with Ref. FR. Joseph Martin
officiating.
Friends may call Monday (today) 2-4 and 7-9 in the
Waltner-Boehmer-Simchak Funeral Home. Interment in Sunset
Hills Memory Gardens.


Viola M. Biedenbach

The first letter of Viola's name in the 1930 census doesn't look like a V... it appears to be a ""Ch." In the index, she appears as "Ziala."

Viola Biedenbach Burkhart was living in Canton in 1995.


Roger Joseph Biedenbach

Roger J. Biedenbach, 52, 30220 Township Road
61, Lewisville, died Wednesday, June 7, 1995 at his home.
He was born near Lewisville, February 25, 1943, a son of
the late Edmund and Stella Miller Biedenbach.
He was a former surveyor for the Ohio Operating
Engineers, Local 18, Cleveland, and was a member of St.
Joseph Catholic Church near Lewisville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death
by two sisters, Mary Francis Schoeller and Clara Schumacher;
one brother, Norbert Biedenbach.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Masciarelli Biedenbach;
three daughters, Kimberly and Cynthia Biedenbach, both of
the home, and Christina Biedenbach of Marietta; a son,
Gregory Biedenbach of Woodsfield; three sisters, Viola Burk-
hart of Canton, Evelyn Wasilewski of Rhode Island and Mildred
Nau of Caldwell; four brothers, Arthur Biedenbach of Canton,
Donald Biedenbach of Woodsfield, and Bernard and Dennis
Biedenbach both of Lewisville.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home,
Woodsfield from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral liturgy with Mass will
be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Sylvester Catholic Church,
Woodsfield, with the Rev. Chester Pabin as the celebrant. Burial
will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, near Lewisville. Vigil
Services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 9, at the funeral
home.


Edward Burkhart

In 1900, 26 year old unmarried Edward Burkhart lived and worked on his mother's farm in Summit Twp., Monroe Co., Ohio with his siblings, nieces and nephews. Occupation: Farmer. Lived in Lewisville, Monroe Co, Ohio.

According to his death certificate, Edward Burkhart suffered a "stroke of paralysis" four years prior to his death.

Obituary:
Funeral services for Edward Burkhart, 73, or near Lewisville, who died
Friday morning [19 Jun 1947] at his home, will be held at 9 o’clock Monday
morning at St. Joseph’s Catholic church at Burkhart station. Burial will be
in Chapel Hill cemetery.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nettie Burkhart; two sons, Fred of Stafford,
and John L. Burkhart of Gypsum, and a sister, Miss Amelia Burkhart of St.
Clairsville.
