SOURCE: Marietta Times . . . Marietta, OH . . . Nov 2002 CALDWELL - Mary Louise Michel, 86, of 45526 Cornstalk Road died at 6:28 a.m. Monday (Nov. 18, 2002) at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born June 26, 1916, in Caldwell to James W. and Barbara B. Schockling Ackley. She ran the Caldwell Tea Room and worked at Caldwell Produce, Park Side Restaurant, and Shenandoah Inn. She attended Ackley School. She belonged to St. Stephens Catholic Church in Caldwell and also the St. Stephens Woman's Club. She is survived by two daughters, Alice (Butch) Ziler of Caldwell and Cathy (Tom) Lynch of Alexandria, Va.; three sons, Stanley (Cathy) Michel, Stephen (Sarah) Michel and Daniel J. Michel, all of Caldwell; seven grandchildren, Ann (Jeff) Bowen, Susan E. Ziler, Julie M. Ziler, Nick (Tandy) Michel, Phil Michel, Laurel L. Michel and Amber A. Michel; four great-grandchildren, Dominic W. Mincks, Matthew T. Bowen, Emily M. Bowen and Mason N. Michel; and one brother, James W. Ackley.

On June 4, 1946, she married William H. Michel. He died on Jan. 13, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Chrissy M. Michel; four sisters, Florence Bridgman, Emma Estadt, Thelma Ackley and Mildred Ogle. Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Caldwell with Father Dale Tornes officiating. Burial is in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Caldwell. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy-McCurdy Funeral Home in Caldwell. Vigil services are at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Joseph E. Snider

CALDWELL -- Joseph E. Snider, 52, of Caldwell died Saturday evening (April 14, 2001) at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born Sept. 1, 1948, in Caldwell to Edwin and Edna Warner Snider. He was a 1967 graduate of Caldwell High School. He was a former member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He formerly worked as a carpenter and was a tool and die maker for Dana Corp. at Caldwell. He was an active member of St. Stephen Catholic Church at Caldwell and the Father Kluber Council Knights of Columbus at Caldwell and was a 4th Degree Knight.

He is survived by his wife, Linda M. Hountz Snider, whom he married in October 1975; three sons, Alex Joseph, Brian Edward and Anthony Laurence Snider, all of Caldwell; three sisters, Norma Arnold and her husband, Francis, and Joan Willey and her husband, Rodger, all of Caldwell, and Rita Crum and her husband, Lloyd, of Marietta; one brother, Tom Snider and his wife, Linda, of Old Fort, N.C.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Betty Hountz of Caldwell; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell with Father Dale Tornes and Father Samuel Saprano as celebrants. Burial is in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Caldwell with military graveside services by Caldwell Post 4721 Veterans of Foreign Wars and Belle Valley Post 641 American Legion. Christian Scripture services are at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Guernsey.
