SUMMERFIELD - Marvin Orr, son of Rev. and Mrs. Orton Orr, Akron, who has been seriously ill with an ear infection is reported improved. Rev. Mr. Off was a former pastor of Free Methodist church, Summerfield.

Marvin Orr, son of Rev. and Mrs. Earl Orr of 1613 ½ Sharon avenue, who underwent an emergency appendectomy Saturday night at Bethesda hospital was reported in fair condition last night.

Victor L. Michel, age 75, of Waynesburg, passed away Tuesday morning in the residence after an illness of nine months.
He was born in Noble County, OH, a son of the late Harry H. and Cora L. Crum Michel, and had been a Waynesburg resident 50 years. He retired in 1987 from Canton Drop Forge Plant B., after 38 years service, where he was an inspector. Mr. Michel was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg, Canton Drop Forge Retirees Club, and was a 50 year member of Magnolia Grange. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Roger Michel, and a brother-in-law, Albert Smith, Jr.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Luella J. Michel with whom he would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this Sat. May 20th; six daughters and sons-in-law, Victoria and William Hicks of Magnolia, Monica and Chuck Taylor of N. Canton, Marianne and Denny Eick of Waynesburg, Susan and Peter Baylies of North Andover, MA, Lora and Timothy Frisone of Waynesburg and Peggy and Thomas Stone of Canal Fulton; two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Jane Michel and Thomas and Christine Michel all of Waynesburg; two sisters, Mrs. Wonetta Smith of Hopewell, OH, and Mrs. Howard (Patricia) Huck of Lowell, OH; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Cleota Michel of Caldwell, OH; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Arthur and Joan Michel, Harold and Beverly Michel and Gerald and Sophia Michel all of Canton; 15 grandchildren, and three step-children.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be sung on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Seifert as Celebrant. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday (tonight) 6-9 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Michel's memory may be made to either St. James Catholic Church, Waynesburg, OH 44688 or Aultman Hospice 4510 Dressler Rd., NW, Canton, OH 44718.
