Agnes Mary Hartman

Agnes Hartman's godparents were William and Ursula Hartman. Agnes Hartman and Pete Pencosky had no children. There are no official documents for the wedding of Agnes Hartman and Pete Pencosky because this was a “common law” marriage. No one ever knew that the weren’t married until she died. Aggie's brother Paul Hartman covered the cost of the funeral because Aunt Aggie had no insurance. Pete had no money. When Aggie died, either Pete and/or his daughter said that it wasn’t their responsibility. That’s when it came out that they weren’t really married.

Joseph Leo Hartman

Joseph Hartman's godparents were John and Anna Wehrl. Joe and Mary Hartman had no children. It's said that if you stand at the foot of JFK’s grave in Arlington Cemetery and look straight up the hill you can see Uncle Joe’s marker.
