Edward Harry Archer

Obituary:
Edward H. Archer, age 83, of Louisville, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away at Akron General Medical Center Friday, December 27, 2002 following a recent illness. Ed was born September 3, 1919 in Noble County to the late Earl E. and Ida Mary (Sorg) Archer. He was a former repairman for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Ed was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and an army veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy (Hepburn) Archer whom he married on August 29, 1945, two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Chuck Beatty of Beach City, Debbie and Jim King of Louisville, two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Linda Archer of Clayton, and D. Alan Archer and his friend John Bassett of Bronxville, NY; a brother, Herbert Archer of Canal Fulton; seven grandchildren, Todd Sterling and fiancé Vicky, Traci (Chris) Garrott, Trisha (Clint) Zorger, Kraig (Kim) King, Nicky (Rob) Nau, Jason and Aaron Archer; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by four brothers, Cletus, Wilbur, Bernard, and Ray Archer.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 31st, at 1:00 p.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville with Msgr. Ken Miller officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Friends called Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence D. Kuhn of Tiffin announce
the engagement of their daughter, Connie Ann of 1270
Newark road, to James Philip Hardcastle of Musselman
drive, son of Mrs. Evelyn Hardcastle of 850 Taylor street
and Hardcastle of Dillon Falls.
Miss Kuhn is attending Ohio University at Zanesville
where she is majoring in sociology. She is employed by the
J. C. Penney Co.
Mr. Hardcastle attended Western Kentucky University
where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity
and Ohio University where he received his bachelor if science
and master degrees in guidance and counseling. He is em-
ployed in the Morgan County School System and is working
on his Ph.D. degree.
A wedding date has not been set.

Miss Kathleen Cantlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
William V. Cantlin of Newark, became the bride of Keith
Alan Kuhn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence D. Kuhn of
Douglas drive, Saturday afternoon in Blessed Sacrament
Church in Newark. Rev. Frank Shaeffer officiated.
Miss Molly Duffy was maid of honor and brides-
maids were Miss Robin Staley of Buckeye Lake, Mrs.
Leonard Ours of Ada, and Mrs. James Hahn of Newark,
sister of the bridegroom.
Timothy Treneff of Newark was Mr. Kuhn’s best
man. Ushers were Ron Ferguson, Michael Cantlin, brother
of the bride, and James Hahn, brother-in-law of the bride-
groom. All are from Newark. Shelly Uanaman of Coshocton
was the flower girl.
The reception was held at the Newark YWCA with
Mrs. Kim Ketter, Mrs. Randall Crothers and Mrs. Danny
Martin of Newark, Mrs. James Hardcastle of Zanesville,
the bridegroom’s sister, and Mrs. Preston L. St. John of
Hillsdale, Mich.
After a wedding trip to Florida, the newlyweds
will live in Newark.
Mrs. Kuhn is a graduate of Newark Catholic High
School and is a secretary for the Ohio Casualty Insurance
Company in Newark.
Mr. Kuhn is a graduate of Rosecrans High School
and is attending the Ohio State University Branch in Newark.
He teaches at Steed Music Center and is a member of the
music group Taxi. Mr. Kuhn is a member of St. Nicholas
Catholic church.
