Laura K. Harrell, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday,
July 14, 2005 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in
Albany, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM
on Saturday, July 16, 2005, at the Paulk Funeral Home
Chapel, Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Ray Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow in Lax Cemetery, Irwin County. Visita-
tion will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 Friday evening at the
funeral home.
Mrs. Harrell was born May 12, 1933 in Burkhart, Ohio
to the late Leo Grover Kuhn and Eleanor Crum Kuhn.
She lived in the community since 1969. Mrs. Harrell was
a former employee of Allied Department Store and Holt's
Bakery. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Elk's Lodge and
was of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Harrell is survived by her six sons: Stephen Allan
Caton of Pineview, Richard Dale Caton of Ocilla, Patrick
Lee Caton of Ashburn, Keith Raymond Ashton of Fitzgerald,
Gaines Junior "G.J." Harrell of Ocilla and John Clifford
Harrell of Fitzgerald; one daughter: Valerie Sue Peterson
of Fitzgerald; eighteen grandchildren and five great-grand-
children; a sister and a brother: Mary Bowman and Bernard
Kuhn, both of Zanesville, OH. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Clifford Harrell and six brothers.

Raymond Kenneth Kuhn

Barnesville Health Care Center. He was born Oct. 27,
1919 at Burkhart Station, son of the late Leo and Eleanor
(Crum) Kuhn. He was an Army veteran of World War II; a retired truck
driver for M&K and Pomco; a member of Assumption Catholic
Church, K of C and VFW Post 2792.
Preceded by wife, Helen Marie (Schafer) Kuhn; and
brothers, Herman, Mike, Ted and Earl. Surviving are a son, Paul Kuhn of Barnesville; daughter,
Mrs. Richard (Rita) Hall of Barnesville; brothers, John and
Bernard Kuhn of Zanesville; sisters, Mrs. Gilbert (Mary)
Bowman of Zanesville and Laura Harrell of Fitzgerald, Ga.;
grandchildren, Rusty Hall and wife Laura of Chicago and
Rachael Weis and husband Brian of Powell, Ohio.; and a
great-grandchild, Vanessa Renee Weis. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Camp-
bell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St.,
Barnesville, Ohio and at Assumption Catholic Church, Barnes-
ville, Friday from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m., with
the Rev. Virgil Reischman. Burial follows in Crestview
Cemetery, Barnesville. Full military honors conducted by Belmont County Council
of the VFW.

COMPLETES TRAINING
Bernard Kuhn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kuhn of
1027 Hall avenue, has left for Charleston, S.C., after
spending a 10-day furlough at his home. He has just
finished basic training at LAckland Air Force base in Texas.
Kuhn is a graduate of Rosecrans high school. His address
is A-3c, Bernard Kuhn, AF2563697, 444th F. L. S., CAFB,
Charleston.

Bernard Kuhn was an inspector for the Ohio State Liquor Control Board. His last known address (1976): 1565 Meadow Farm Church Road, Zanesville, Ohio. He was still living in Zanesville in Sep 2005.


Michael Leo Kuhn

Michael Leo Kuhn's obituary appeared in The Times recorder (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on April 19, 1974. Michael Leo Kuhn, 50, of 1360 Riverland drive, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.,
a Zanesville native, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday in a Ft. Lauderdale hospital.
He was born Aug. 31, 1923, the son of Mrs. Elinor Crumm (sic) Kuhn
of Zanesville, and the late Leo Kuhn. He had been employed as an auto mechanic for Smelter Chevrolet
in Newark, and was a veteran of World War II. Surviving in addition to his mother are his widow, Marjorie Stickle
Kuhn; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Jo Ann) Lambert of Newark, and
Suzanne of the home; a son, Michale Allen of the home; two grand-
children; five brothers, Raymond of Barnesville, Theodore of Mansfield,
Earl and Bernard of Zanesville, and John Kuhn of New concord; two
sisters, Mrs. Duke Bowman of Zanesville and Mrs. Cliff Harrell of
Schula, Ga. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Brucker-Kishler Funeral
Home, Newark. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery. friends may call 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Herman F. Kuhn

An article in the Zanesville Times Recorder (page 2A) on 29 Nov 1946 stated that Herman F. Kuhn of 418 Kinsel avenue, Zanesville won a cash prize in the Zanesville Co-operative Club's campaign on behalf of the Infantile Paralysis Fund.

The same paper reported on 4 Apr 1951 that Herman Kuhn of 409 Bailey street was issued a permit to build a garage costing $300.

Obituary:
Herman F. Kuhn, 49, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., died
at 2:30 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 5) in Doctors’ Hospital Fort Lauder-
dale. Born Feb. 8, 1918 in Barnesville, he was a son of Leo
and Eleanor Crum Kuhn.
Mr. Kuhn is survived by his widow, Rosemary, of Fort
Lauderdale; his mother, Mrs. Eleanor Kuhn of Zanesville; six
brothers, Raymond, Theodore, Earl, Michael, Hubert, and
Bernard, all of Zanesville; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Caton of
Lakeland, Fla. And Mrs. Mary Bowman of Zanesville; one
stepson, Louis Allwine of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and four
grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in West
Broward Chapel Fairchild Funeral Home in Fort Lauderdale.
Burial will be in Lauderdale Memorial Garden.

Estella Marie Lucas

The Zanesville Times Recorder reported on 31 Aug 1953 that 60 divorce cases were scheduled for September. Among those was the case of Estella Marie Kuhn against Theordore Graver Kuhn.

Mrs. Theodore Kuhn and infant daughter, Katherine
Marie, were removed Sunday from Good Samaritan hospital
to their home 126½ North Sixth street. The grandparents are
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kuhn of 308 North Sixth street and Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Lucas of Bethesda.
