Anne L. Scheetz, 86 YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m.
at Fox Funeral Home and at 9:30 in St. Patrick Church for Anne L. Scheetz, 86,
of 2516 Volney Road, who died Wednesday morning at home. Mrs. Scheetz was born Aug. 31, 1914, in Newton County, Ind., a daughter
of John and Katherine Bower McGraw, and came to Youngstown in 1937. She
received her registered nurse degree at St. Joseph in South Bend, Ind., in 1935, a
bachelor's degree from St. Mary of Notre Dame in 1937 and a master's degree in
guidance and counseling in 1974 from Youngstown State University. She taught nursing at St. Elizabeth Health Center from 1937 to 1941 and from
1960 to 1969. She then taught nursing at Youngstown State University from 1969
to 1979, when she retired. She was a member of St. Patrick Church. Her husband, Walter J., whom she married Dec. 27, 1941, died Sept. 30, 1971. She leaves two daughters, Kathryn Flesse of Strongsville and Mary Scheetz of
Youngstown; two sons, Thomas E. of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Robert V. of
Youngstown; a brother, John McGraw of Goodland, Ind.; two sisters, Dorothy
McGraw of Goodland and Agnes Snyder of Lafayette, Ind.; four grandchildren; and
five great-grandchildren. A sister, Lillian Downes, and a brother, Gerald McGraw,
are deceased. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

CALDWELL - Clarence C. Lori, 72, of Caldwell died Thursday (April 18, 2002) at
his residence. He was born Jan. 9, 1930, in Noble County to Raymond and Cora Lori
Lorey. He was an equipment operator for Baker and Noon Coal Co. He was a U.S.
Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Jane Ellen Lori of Byesville; three sisters, Lucille
Jones of Belle Valley, Charlene Thompson of Caldwell and Dorothy Hesson of Elba;
three brothers, Richard Lorey of North Carolina, Howard Lorey of Caldwell and Charles
Lorey of Canton; and two grandsons, Nathan and Joseph Schlosser of Byesville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Jane Lori, on Dec. 25, 1978; his parents;
and one brother, John Lorey.
Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell with the
Rev. John Powell officiating. Burial is in Sharon Cemetery

Lorita J. Bates

Obituary:
CALDWELL -- Lorita J. Lorey, 71, of Caldwell, died
Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004 at Southeast Ohio Regional Medical Center
in Cambridge.
She was born Sept. 22, 1932, the daughter of the late Fred
H. and Laura Bates Bates. She was a graduate and valedictorian of
her class at Sarahsville High School, a homemaker, a volunteer at the
Samaritan House in Caldwell and a member of the Caldwell Church of
the Nazarene.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Lorey,
who died Aug. 2, 1994. Surviving are a son, Chris R. (Kathy Segar)
Lorey, of Zanesville; two sisters, Tom (Norma) Harmon, of Zanesville
and Regina Dennis, of Newark; two grandchildren, Celina Blackmon and
John B. Lorey; and seven great grandchildren, Ashley, Laura, Kyle,
Kevin, Katrina, Levi and Trevor.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, Sept. 7 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
to 9 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell where the service
will be Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Powell officiating.
Burial will be at Olive Cemetery, Caldwell.

CALDWELL - Lucille M. Jones, 80, of Caldwell died Sunday morning (April 18, 2004) at her home. She was born June 4, 1922, in Dudley to Raymond and Cora Lori Lorey. She was a homemaker and had attended Ava Free Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, B. Davey "Pappy" Jones, on Aug. 23, 1995; her parents; and two brothers, John Lorey and Clarence Lori. She is survived by four daughters, Paulette (Lawrence) Walters of Thornville, Dorothy (George) Foreman of Caldwell, Betsy (Bud) Coler of Caldwell, and Barbara (Paul) Ayres of Cambridge; four sons, David (Lynn) Jones of Byesville, Paul (Jane) Jones of Caldwell, Jerry (Charlene) Jones of Cumberland, and Jim (Shari) Jones of Macksburg; two sisters, Dorothy Hesson of Elba and Charlene (Floyd) Thompson of Caldwell; three brothers, Charles (Gladys) Lorey of Canton, Richard (Barbara) Lorey of North Carolina, and Howard (Darlene) Lorey of Caldwell; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Lorita Lorey of Caldwell. Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell with Pastor Rodney Reeves officiating. Burial is in Hiramsburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
