Cornelius George Kuhn

In 1930, 22 year old, unmarried, Cornelius Kuhn lived as a boarder in the home of the home of the Frank Cunot family at 215 W. Broad St., Nimishillen Twp., Stark Co., Ohio. Cornelius and his parents were born in Ohio. He worked as a "shearman" in a sheet metal mill.


Obituary:
Cornelius G. Kuhn, age 75, of 622 Edwards St., Louisville, passed away Tuesday,
May 22 [1983] at the Molly Stark Hospital following a short illness.
Born in Monroe County, Ohio, August 6, 1907 he lived in the Louisville area for 55
years. He had worked for the Berger Division of Republic Steel Co., retiring in 1969, and
for many years for the Superior Sheet Steel Co. of Louisville. He was a member of St.
Louis Catholic Church, Louisville K of C Council 2530, Louisville FOE Aerie 2374 and the
Arion Singing Society.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille (Schott) of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Judith)
Mahoney of Toledo; one son, Ronald Kuhn of Louisville; one sister, Mrs. Edwin Crum of
Caldwell; two brothers, Lester Kuhn of Louisville and Arthur Kuhn of Caldwell; four grand-
children. He was preceded in death by a brother, James, in 1976.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday March 25 at 10:30 AM in St. Louis Catholic
Church with burial in the church cemetery. Calling hours were Thursday at the Paquelet
Funeral Home. FOE services were also held Thursday as were K of C services.


Lucile Rose Schott

Obituary:
Lucile R. Kuhn, age 73 of 622 Edwards St. Louisville passed away Wednesday, Jan 4 [1984] at her daughter’s home in Toledo following an extended illness.
Born in Stark County, Dec. 5, 1912, she lived here all her life and worked for a short time in Zwick’s Department Store in Louisville. She was a member of ST. Louis Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Altar and Rosary Society, and Columbus Women’s Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius Kuhn in 1983.
She is survived by one son, Ronald of Louisville; one daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Judith) Mahoney of Toledo; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Kuhn of Louisville and Mrs. Marjorie Johnson of Navarre; one brother, Richard Schott of Canton; four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Calling hours were Saturday in the Paquelet Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to her favorite charity, The Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine in Memorial of Sister Hennrrett, Richfield, Ohio.


Arthur J. Kuhn

In 1930, 21 year old Arthur Kuhn lived on his parents farm in Seneca Twp., Monroe County, Ohio with his younger siblings. Arthur was employed as a public school teacher.

Obituary (from Betty Hartley):
Arthur J. Kuhn, 79, of Caldwell, died June 11 at this home. He was born March 2,
1909 in Monroe County, the son of the late John and Mary Burkhart Kuhn. Mr. Kuhn
was a retired teacher who worked for 41 years in Lewisville, Carlisle and Summerfield
areas. He was a member of St. Stephen's Church, Caldwell.
He leaves his wife, Pauline Mallett Kuhn; a son, Arthur J. Kuhn, Jr. of North Canton;
two daughters, Donna Hammes of New Albany and Mrs. George (Patricia) Cussel of
Columbus, GA; a brother Lester Kuhn of Louisville; a sister, Mrs. Edwin (Anita) Crum
of Caldwell; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was held June 13 at St. Stephen's Church with Rev. Dale
Tornes, celebrant. Burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, Carlisle. McVay Funeral Home,
Caldwell, was in charge of arrangements.


Pauline M. Mallett

In the "News Notes From Berne" section of The Zanesville Times Recorder (pg 9) on 3 Oct 1946:
Mrs. Arthur Kuhn spent one day last week with her parents Mr. and
Mrs. Clarence Mallett.

From The Zanesville Signal (pg 8), 16 Mar 1950:
WOODSFIELD - Mrs. Lyle Weisend of the Lewisville road was hostess to
the members of the Dopey Dozen club at her home today. The day was spent
informally. Mrs. Weisend’s guests were Mrs. Arthur Kuhn, Mrs. Okey Ruble,
Mrs. Nick Marceralli, Mrs. Leander Kuhn, Mrs. Harmon Scoot, Mrs. Leland
Jackson, Mrs. Ward Bishop, Mrs. Raymond Carpenter, Mrs. Delores Burkhart,
and Mrs. Ralph Carpenter.


Clarence Mallett

In 1930, Clarence Mallett (44) owned a farm in the village of Berne, Stock Twp., Noble County, Ohio. Living with him were his wife, Bertha (36), daughter M. Pauline (16) and son G. W. (12). The Mallett family owned a radio set. Adjacent farms in the census belonged to J. L. Smith and widow Mary Smith.


Lester Phillip Kuhn

BANNS PUBLISHED
First banns for the marriage of Miss Helen Schott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Isadore Schott, Louisville, Stark county, and Lester Kuhn, son of Mr. and Mrs.
John N. Kuhn, of Lewisville, Monroe county, were published Sunday morning
in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic church of Burkhart. Their marriage will be an
event of the near future.


Obituary
Lester P. Kuhn, age 83, of Louisville, passed away on the evening of September 21,
1995 following a lengthy illness. Lester was born May 28, 1912 in Kuhn, Ohio, the
son of the late John N. Kuhn and Mary (Burkhart) Kuhn. He was a member of St.
Louis Church and a former quality control inspector for the Babcock & Wilcox Co.,
retiring in 1976. Lester was a member of the Lake P’NA Sportsman Club and an avid
hunter, fisherman, and gardener.
Survivors include his wife, Helen (Schott) of the home, two sons and daughters-in-
law, Gene and Linda Kuhn of Middleburg Heights and Bob and Pam Kuhn of N. Canton;
a sister, Anita Crum of Caldwell; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister Gertrude, and three brothers, Cornelius, Arthur,
and James.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic
Church in Louisville with Rev. Father Frederick Slaven officiating. Burial was in the church
cemetery. Friends called Sunday evening at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.


Helen Barbara Schott

Helen Schott is not listed as a surviving sibling in the death notice of her sister, Lucile Schott Kuhn in 1984, although she IS listed as a survivor in her husband's 1995 death notice.

Helen's obituary appeared in the Canton Repository on 27 Mar 2007:
Helen B. Kuhn, age 92 of Louisville, loving mother, grandmother, great-
grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, March 25,
2007 in St. Joseph Care Center following an extended illness.
Helen was born November 8, 1914 in Louisville to the late Isadore and
Clara (Sorg) Schott. She enjoyed quilting and needlework. Helen was a
member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville.
Helen is survived by her sons, Eugene (Linda) Kuhn of Middleburg
Heights and Robert (Pamella) Kuhn of North Canton; brother, Richard
Schott of Canton; grandchildren, Kathleen, Barbara, David, Eric, Michael,
Matthew and Kristen; great-grandchildren, Derek, Shannon, Tanner, Haley
and Dylan and great-great-grandchildren, Tony and Jacelyn.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester; and sisters, Lucille
Kuhn and Marjorie Johnson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in
St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Ken Miller officiating. Interment will
follow in the parish cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made in Helen's memory to St. Joseph
Care Center.


Ronald Lee Yontz

Obituary:
Ronald Lee Yontz, age 57, of Canton, OH., died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at his home from a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 1, 1945, at Lewisville, Ohio (Monroe County, OH); he has lived in the Canton area most of his life. His parents were the late William J. and Nellie G. (Ritterbeck) Yontz. He retired in 1999 from Montgomery Safety Products of Canton, formerly Wilson Rubber Co., where he worked in Production. He was a member of A.A.A. of Stark County, Ohio and the United Rubber Workers of America.
Survivors include special friend, Larry Thorne, Canton, OH; daughter, Helen Yontz, Canton, OH; brothers, Raphael Yontz, Jerusalem, OH., Dale Yontz, Woodsville, OH; several nieces and nephews; special family: Kenneth and Beth Thorne, Canton South, OH., Margaret Sedlock, Canton, OH. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a brother, Joseph Yontz; sisters, Leona Michael, Thelma Hohman and Bertha Michael.
Services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2002, at 3:00 p.m. in the Lebold Funeral Home, 248 Park Ave. SW, Bolivar, OH. Calling hours 1:00-3:00 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home, Deacon Lyn Houze will officiate. Cremation to follow funeral service.
