Albert J. Shockling, Jr., age 55, of 5776 Schloneger Rd. NE,
Louisville, passed away at Timken Mercy Medical Center Thursday
Feb 28 [1985] following an extended illness.
Born in Louisville Feb 15, 1930, he lived in the area all his life and
was retired from the Storage System Vo. (Burger Division) of Republic
Steel Co. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and IOF
Foresters, Council 1093.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce M. (Dougherty) of the home; five sons,
Albert J., and James J. both of Louisville, Stephen M. Kevin C. and Darryl
L., all of the home; two granddaughters, three sisters, Mrs. Elaine Rosia
of Louisville, Mrs. Thelma McCartney of Dearborn Mich., and Mrs. Donna
Jean Rose of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; three brothers, William and Norbert
both of Louisville and Richard of Paris, OH.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Louis Church
with burial in the church cemetery. Calling hours were on Sunday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 at the Paquelet Funeral Home.

Genevieve "Peggy" O. Dougherty, age 88 of Louisville, passed away WednesdayOctober 22, 2003, at her home following an extended illness. Peggy was bornAugust 7, 1915 in Woodsfield, OH to the late, George and Zola (Pettigrew)Haynes. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Peggy was a housewifeand the strength of her family. She provided support and encouragement toher children and extended family. Survivors include her children, JoyceShockling of Louisville, Nancy Taylor of Beaufort, NC, Bonnie (Joe) Boslerof Louisville, James Howard (Sandy) of Louisville and Richard (Deb) ofUniontown; a brother, Jack (Gladys) Haynes of Canton; thirteengrandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and three great greatgrandchildren. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, James Dougherty in1997; her son, Dennis Dougherty in 1999; and sons-in-law, Albert Shocklingin 1955 and John Taylor in 1981. A mass of Christian burial will becelebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr.Kenneth Miller officiating. Burial will follow in St. Sylvester Cemetery inWoodsfield. Friends may call Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Paquelet-FalkFuneral Home in Louisville. Memorial contributions may be made to St. LouisCatholic Church.
