Dennis B. Heppner, age 48, of Bainbridge Township (Chagrin Falls) died at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California on April 21 [1991], following a short illness of cancer.
He was born in Louisville, Ohio on Nov. 25, 1942 and was a Chagrin Falls resident moving to California only six months ago. He was a graduate of the former Case Institute of Technology receiving his undergraduate degree as well as his Masters and Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering. He worked as a principal engineer and scientist for the Centrifuge Research Project, Space Station Division of McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Company in Huntington Beach, California for the past six months, and formerly was employed for may years at Life Systems in Beachwood, Ohio where he was involved in the life support for aerospace working on the shuttle for NASA.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marie Lamielle and children Dennis Jr. of Bainbridge Twp., David of Chicago, Mark of Dayton, Ohio, and Kathleen of Bainbridge Twp. Other survivors include his mother, Ethel Monter Heppner of Louisville; a grandson, Dennis William Heppner, and brothers and sisters Lawrence Heppner of Cincinnati, Diane DeGasteris of Canton, Thomas Heppner of McConnellsville, Ohio, Suzanne Heppner of North Canton, and Robert Heppner of Lithonia, Georgia. His father, Bernard Joseph Heppner, preceded him in death.
Services will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church, 496 E. Washington St. in Chagrin Falls, Ohio on Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m. with burial in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon. Officiating will be Father John Kinkopf and Father Robert Lorkowski. Visitation will be at Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home, 95 S. Franklin St., Chagrin Falls on Friday from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday one hour before service time.

Frank J. Mulig, age 81, of Canton, passed away Sunday evening at home withhis loving wife at his side. Born March 25, 1922 in Kittanning, PA, he lived most of his life in Canton. Frank was a former Bar Mill Clerk atRepublic Steel in Canton, retiring in 1983 after 40 years of service. He wasa proud veteran of WW II, serving in the 23rd Chemical DecontaminationCompany in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a longtime member of Our Ladyof Peace Catholic Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Louis andFrances (Bogavich) Mulig; brothers, Bill, John, George Mulig and EdSchuster; sisters, Mildred Harper, Barbara Bayda, Mary Ranalli and infantgrandson, Paul "P.J." Schumacher. He is survived by his wife and bestfriend, Yolanda (Mangina) Mulig to whom he would have been married 56 yearson April 24th; sons and daughter-in-law, Greg Mulig, Dennis and Tami Muligall of North Canton; daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia "Cis" and GarySchumacher, Alice Carr all of North Canton; six grandchildren, Jay and JeffSchumacher, Emily and Lindsey Carr, Melanie and Michael Mulig; sister andbrother-in-law, Lois and Ed Gladysz of Sharon, PA; and numerous nieces andnephews whom he loved dearly. Friends may call on Wednesday 6-9 p.m. in theRossi Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be sung on Thursday at11 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Nentwick ascelebrant. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
